Surrey Police are warning construction supervisors and homeowners that theft is on the rise for new construction sites. A recent news article from Global News states that the increase in theft is caused by raising lumber and material cost
To offset this theft, many construction companies are hiring nighttime security guard services which can be extremely expensive with minimal effectiveness at deterring theft. Instead, our solution called Swift Video Verification, may just be the answer. Our clients have saved thousands of dollars per month by switching from a traditional guard service to one of our video monitoring services.

How does this system work? We come up with a custom camera layout that ensures the most vulnerable areas of the construction site are being monitored at all times. From there, we set up a virtual fence around those areas so when someone enters those perimeters – BOOM – an alarm and strobe light will activate, deterring the criminal before they have even entered the site. The client and police will also receive a phone call confirming that someone has breached that virtual fence. If the criminal continues to linger, police will be dispatched to the site.
